I thought there were more Italians than Greeks?

Yes in fact I am going there very soon for a wedding. It is a beautiful country with lovely people. The economy has ALWAYS been a bit dodgy because not a lot of Mediterranean people like paying taxes. This is a fact and, unfortunately, the chickens have come home to roost insofar as the Greek, Spanish, Italian economies are concerned. When you live in a "cash based" society, something has to "give" after a while. The spiralling debt problems of these countries will not go away but it has been this way for decades. Only thing now is that their debt is affecting other countries in the EU. This is why Australia and NZ are so lucky to be miles away from Europe and the USA - it is economically (and politically) advantageous!

No, not since I can get a decent kebab here.
